Spotlight- LaRue Price

I was born in/on: Millville, Utah on Sept. 17, 1922
I grew up in: Blackfoot, Idaho
Married--single--children? I have 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way.
My career is: It used to be "homemaking". I don't do much of that any more!
My favorite candy is: Anything chocolate
I love: My family, the Savior, the scriptures, music
I am allergic to: Nothing that I know of.
I have traveled to: Minnesota, Florida, Hawaii, Utah, Idaho
I want to travel to: Sweden
My church calling is: R.S. organist, assistant ward organist, visiting teacher, family history consultant
A perfect day for me is: Time to talk to friends; sunny day so I can take my daily walk without an umbrella, telephone calls or mail from my children, and no back pain!
The food I most dislike is: Cilantro
I am passionate about: Keeping the Lord's commandments
I am proud of: My children and grandchildren, 13 of whom have served foreign missions.
What I love about the gospel is: The comfort and peace it gives.

Wow!! It's been awhile since we've blogged...must mean that we've been B-U-S-Y!!! Can't even remember everything we've done...just know its been a blur of activity & its picked up speed since summer began!!

Summer means family vacations, weddings & lots of fun, fun, fun!!

Hoori Poukshirazi entered the waters of baptism on Saturday, July 9th, 2010...and was confirmed Sunday, July 11, 2010...please take some time to extend a hand of fellowship to her...she has an amazing spirit and we are so excited to have her join us in Relief Society!!


Congratulations to Emilio Torres who was just married to Delia Trujillo on Saturday, July 10, 2010!! They are a beautiful young couple...and we wish them every happiness!!


We know many of you are on vacation right now...if you would like to share any pics of recent trips we'd be thrilled to add them to our blog!!

Upcoming activities: Ward "Picnic in the Park" Monday, July 12, 2010 at 5:00pm...catered BBQ dinner...Meet by the volleyball courts...bring your own chairs &/or a blanket...a few tables will be set up for those unable to sit on the ground...it promises to be an amazing night!!


JUST A REMINDER....THE SAN DIEGO TEMPLE IS STILL OPEN AND OPERATING DURING ITS CURRENT CLEANING....MANY HAVE INQUIRED IF IT IS OPEN DUE TO THE SCAFFOLDING SET UP AROUND THE OUTSIDE...IT WILL BE CLOSED JULY 26- AUGUST 9, 2010...SO GET THOSE FAMILY NAMES & HEAD DOWN TO THE TEMPLE NOW!!!
