Popcorn Recipes

These are the popcorn recipes that Marie, Gaea and Judi used for the Relief Society Dinner. They were all delicious!!!

Caramel Corn

1 C real butter
1 C white sugar
1 C brown sugar
1 C Karo Syrup

Boil till the soft ball stage then remove from heat and add 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk and pour over large bowl of popcorn--and I do mean large.

Parmesan Popcorn

Just pop corn, drizzle butter over popcorn then sprinkle parmesan and garlic salt over popcorn to taste.

White Chocolate Popcorn

Melt 1/2 package of White Chocolate Chips in micromave about 30 seconds at a time till melted-stir in between heatings then drizzle over popped corn -medium sized bowl and mix well. Just keep stirring until it's distributed. You can have more or less chocolate depending on how thick you want it to be. It will be sticky so let it harden then break apart when ready to eat.

You can add chopped candy canes at Christmas time!

The Relief Society Birthday Dinner

We had a fantastic Birthday Dinner Celebration on Thursday March 26 at the church. We had a night at the movies and watched "Emma, My Story." It was awesome and there were many "sniffles" heard throughout the room. It was very inspiring and so amazing to be able to feel the emotions of what this "elect lady" went through. We were lucky to have Mike Kennedy and his family join us to introduce the film and share his thoughts. We had gourmet hot dogs complete with coleslaw and sauerkraut and a lot of candy and popcorn to keep us happy through the movie.

Thanks go to--all of you for signing up and bringing food! Also, to Janice Vance for organizing the food and bringing all of her amazing quilts, Cindy Griffiths for the great candy treats, Judi, Gaea, Maria for the popcorn and a special thanks to Russ Harris and Ralph Vaughan----well--you know what you did and I am not telling.....haha.....And to Gordon Hudson for being the technical guy. It was a great night! Also, thanks to Karen Tanner for organizing the dinner for Operation Hope and for delivering the food! We could not have such a great RS without all of you!
